The first album from Yo, an electronic musician who inherits the name from the sumi-e artist Sesshu Toyo, has been released by the independent label <Zouen Keikaku>. While retaining echoes of Geinouyamashirogumi-esque caricatured folk music, Yo seeks a more virtual essence and resonates with the intensified tribal beats found in game BGM like "EVERGRACE" and "GARAGE". Simultaneously, he draws significant influence from Japanese dub acts like GOTH-TRAD and incorporates the "hardness" reminiscent of 54-71's "ska-core" aesthetic.
